Cycling - London to Paris, July 2015

**This page will be updated with a description of the ride**

In July 2015 I cycled from London (Blackheath Common) to Paris (Eiffel Tower) to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. Together with an old housemate, Katie Rudd, we set out on the 29th July to cycle a little over 300 miles over 4 days, with the support of around 70 other cyclists, and the support of Discover Adventure.

Day 1: London to Calais

Day 2: Calais to Arras

Day 3: Arras to Compiegne

Day 4: Compiegne to Paris

Overall Thoughts

It is one of the hardest things I have ever done, that pushed my physically and mentally. Whilst during the ride I cannot say I particularly enjoyed it, and didn't really get the opportunity to enjoy the scenary, the final ride through Paris ending at the Eiffel Tower was amazing, and an excellent finish to the ride. A massive thank you to the Discover Adventure team and their pro riders who helped me through some of the worst parts!

The total amount I raised for Bowel Cancer UK was £2,171.52, which made the whole "ordeal" worthwhile. Thank you to everyone who supported me, it won't be the last charity event I do!
